OAM

OAM stands for ‘Online Activity Matching’. The goal of OAM is to use online collected data to enrich the physical world. This fictional device keeps track of your daily online activity. It makes use of your online accounts and profiles to collect personal data and create a daily profile of your online activity that day. The software behind OAM compares this profile to the profile of your online friends and picks the best match and shows a picture of them on the screen mounted behind the lens.

At the end of the day, when coming home where OAM is placed it is up to the owner of OAM to look into the device or not. If he or she wants to know which friend matches their day ‘best’. The owner of OAM now is able to make a real life appointment to talk about their interests that day. With OAM the online collected personal data enriches the physical world of the user.
